Beaters’ is a sculpture that takes an everyday object into the realm of art by altering the object’s size and functionality. Inspired by Claes Oldenburg, this hyper-realistic work takes a commonplace object and, by enlarging it, encourages the viewer to contemplate its form and function at a macro level. Within every new environment, the huge beaters encourage contemplation of what effect they could have on the landscape, (or what sized cake they could make!)
